Results:

Two Design-Build facilities for DGS, DMVA and the Pennsylvania Army National Guard in Carlisle, PA. Lobar Associates project to design and construct new Stryker Brigade 38,000 sq. ft. Readiness Center and 25,000 sq. ft. Field Maintenance. Project was completed in two phases. Through value engineering, we were able to increase the FMS building’s overall square footage with no cost changes. The buildings are comprised of steel roof framing and reinforced masonry bearing walls. The exterior of the buildings are split-face veneer with accent bands and an energy conscience white TPO roof.

The FMS has 10 maintenance bays with radiant floor heating, a 15-ton bridge crane, a small arms vault and administrative office space. The Readiness Center encompasses an assembly hall with commercial kitchen, personnel and unit storage, command offices, classrooms, and a large arms vault. The buildings are designed to achieve a LEED silver rating. The site is a 23 acre parcel of land that includes an anti-terrorism perimeter, access roads, military equipment parking, privately-owned parking, storm water management system, and other miscellaneous site amenities.
