The monument was being rebuilt and the original stones were cleaned and repurposed by our concrete and masonry crews. By using old pictures of the original monument, the masons sorted through the cleaned stones to match the original monument as closely as possible. The concrete crew then formed and poured the colored concrete around the monument and finished grading the site.
One project scope was to fabricate and install new hold downs to secure the 14″ battleship guns from the USS Pennsylvania.
